Supporting the British Animation Awards

Background

The British Animation Awards run every two years and are held at the Southbank in London.

We have been thrilled to be working on the BAAs since 2019 helping develop the website.

Rebuild

2022 Hybrid Event

The BAAs were lucky enough to just go ahead back in 2020 just before the COVID lockdowns. The 2022 event needed to be a mix of live and online content to allow people not able to attend the ceremony in person access to the live stream and pre-recorded content.

We built a standalone microsite to host all of the streaming content. This included:

  • Website registration
  • Pre-recorded video content
  • Location specific content restrictions
  • Live stream of the main event

We also assisted the BAAs team with website and technical support throughout the build up to the event, on the day and after the event. All live content and pre-recorded content was provided by a partner media production company

2024 Live Event

For 2024 we worked closely with Marco Frezza to give the website a design refresh, introducing new graphic banners and an updated colour palette. 2024 was also the first year a paper programme wasn’t produced in favour of an online programme available on the website.

Project overview

  • Migration of legacy website content
  • Hybrid event microsite for live and pre-recorded media
  • Online programme
  • Ongoing website management and support
  • Event photo galleries
